Auckland City Council are implementing a paid parking system on the landing which will be an automatic ANPR camera controlled and enforced through Steller Parking services.
Council are also claiming back the eastern strip on the non-seaward side. This is to take effect from the 3rd September.
Despite the marina operating the INUGO and displayed physical permit system, the use of this camera-based system requires ALL berth holders to register their vehicle plate numbers which will provide you free unhindered parking anywhere on our cantilevered wharf through the marina road entry point.
Your current INUGO app will still operate the pontoon gates so that hasn’t changed. And the marina team will still require you to display your physical permit clearly in your windscreen when parking in the red spaced seaward zone.
A kiosk system will be placed in the marina office so ALL Contractors will now have to visit the marina office to obtain a day’s permit once on site. Please explain this to any contractor you use.
Orakei Marina will be sharing your emails to Steller Parking services, and you will receive an email link from them, with clear instructions on how to register your plate numbers and setting up a password. Once you add your plate number, this will remain valid until you remove it from your list. It will be your responsibility to mange any plate changes to have continued free parking.
Any guest or visitor will need to also visit the marina office to obtain a day’s free parking session. Afterhours, the security team will assist with this process.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but we have no option but to comply with Council to keep having free parking for you.
You will receive the instruction email from Steller Parking in due course, please keep an eye on your inbox and spam folders.
