The Orakei Trust has been working closely with the marina team on upcoming maintenance projects designed to ensure the long-term stability, safety, and durability of our infrastructure. With Orakei Marina now at the halfway point of its intended lifespan, these proactive measures will help preserve the marina’s condition well into the future.
From September, work will commence on Pier A, focusing on strengthening the south attenuator. This will involve installing new pile sleeving and guides, along with replacing through bolts where needed. The project will also cover the fuel dock, addressing around 22 piles.
While these works are essential, the team will make every effort to minimise disruption. Updates will be shared regularly, and berth holders will be notified in advance if any vessel movements or adjustments are required.
